Development History

The intention to set up ASA in Taiwan in 1978 was to bring in foreign assembly technology in order to lower the production cost for growing OEM manufacturing at that time. Because of the ecological changes in the manufacturing industry, ASA set up a new company in 2005 named “Shanghai Pro-Hand Electric Screwdriver Co., Ltd.” to build new research & development and manufacturing facilities to be closer to the customers and provide better and faster quality products and services. A new brand "SAS" was established to provide newly developed technology and products that are meeting Industrial 4.0 and Made in China 2025 requirements entering the global market. SAS is to build a Win-Win Supply Chain Paradigm via introducing the SAS new technology and products to reduce cost while gaining better quality that leads to more benefits for both supply and demand sides.

1991 Received creative award of Taiwan Advertisement 4A

1993 Won the first prize of China Creation and Invention

1994 Received Innovative Research and Development award of Taiwan Small

and Medium Enterprise Administration

1994 Products became UL and CSA certified

1997 Products became of CE (EMC/LVD) certified

1999 Received Taiwan Excellence Product Marking Award

2000 Received Gold National Award of Taiwan Excellence

2002 Taiwan Headquarter became ISO9001 certified

2005 Shanghai office established (capital investment of 20 million RMB/ $3

million U.S. dollars)

2006 Became 3C, UL, CE, FCC and BMS certified

2011 Shanghai office became ISO9001certified

2015 Shanghai R&D established with additional 50 million RMB/$7.5 million

U.S. dollars invested

2017 Brushless torque display electric screwdriver (Industry 4.0) was success

fully developed

2018 Smart torque display electric screwdriver was successfully developed,

and the first gyroscope electric screwdriver was launched in the market

successfully

2019 Brushless electric screwdriver, smart electric screwdriver, torque display

electric screwdriver, brushless electric screwdriver was granted multiple

patents for invention

2019 Created high-end products and high-end brand SAS

2021 (5~200kgf.cm)(4.33~173.59lb-in) New series introduced to the market
